Our Process

Project Update: 20’ single dwelling w/ rooftop deck conversion.

Such a satisfying step in the building process once the walls are lined with plasterboard and flushing complete. You can truly start to envision this space becoming a home!

Waterproofing is required to ensure no water penetrates surfaces leading to rot, structural failure and mould growth and is an essential step in protecting your home from the damage of moisture and water infiltration.

Waterproofing membranes act as a barrier that sits between the walls and floor of your home and the tiles of your shower and are designed to be permanently flexible so they can accommodate normal building movement along substrate movement joints without cracking or tearing. Most building movement occurs at wall-to-wall joints, wall-to-floor joints and around surface penetrations like pipes for taps and drains, so it’s extremely important to take extra care with these areas, especially with a transportable home.

Unfortunately we still see a lot of substandard workmanship on offer and cheaply made imported buildings that either don’t complete this process with the time and care it deserves or miss this crucial step entirely!!

All our builds are completed by qualified and licensed tradesmen and comply with current Australian Standards and Building Codes.
